Team
We work together because we value each other—it's that simple. Most of us have been doing this work (sourcing coffee from special people FOR special people) for about a decade together. We founded Swift with a vision for continuing our life's work, but simpler. Leaner. More efficient.
Every month, we lean further into our tested relationships in each direction. It's a privilege to build a business like this!
Emily McIntyre, CEO
A dynamic leader and storyteller with specialized experience in international trade, green coffee, and community development, Emily McIntyre leads Swift Coffee Sourcing from Kansas City. She's past CEO of Catalyst Trade, has consulted or led more than 100 businesses in various industries, and started her first business at 13. Listen to a recent podcast interview where she opens the curtains on how to build a career, the modern coffee paradigm, and more!
Michael McIntyre, Sourcing & QC Director
Michael McIntyre has spent his career accumulating vast experience in valuing and assessing coffee, building sourcing programs, and navigating international markets. As past Sourcing Director for Catalyst Trade and a sequential entrepreneur in green coffee, he has evaluated tens of thousands of lots of coffee. He leads risk management, sourcing, and QC for Swift Coffee Sourcing. When not cupping, he is an avid musician and plays lead guitar in a cumbia band among other projects.
Leslie Wyatt, Operations Director
Queen of "ducks in a row" Leslie Wyatt is the constant, kind administrative force behind Swift Coffee Sourcing. She provides care for our customers, our vendors, and our suppliers through keeping good records, quick email responses, and constant problem-solving. In the past, she was Operations Director for Catalyst Trade and has worked with Emily on various other projects for a decade. Outside Swift, she's a romance novelist for older readers (check out one of her recent books, When I'm 64)!
Aron Fesaha, Ethiopia Coordinator
As one of Ethiopia's top coffee processing specialists, Aron Fesaha represents Swift Coffee Sourcing for much of the gritty, good work required to produce exceptional coffee in its chaotic, glorious birthplace. Aron knows every nook and cranny of Ethiopia's roads and restaurants since he was a tour driver for many years prior to working with us in coffee for the last near-decade. He loves the insanely-demanding schedule and adventure of field work and can be found in Keffa, Yirgacheffe, Sidama, and Guji months out of the year, offering training and careful oversight of coffee's processing.
